Born in 1974, I am the youngest of 5 brothers raised by my deaf mother and her partner.  I have been married since 1997 and living in my own property with my wife since 1991.  This probably isn't important to you but it is to me so let me try and put it another way.  Even though I'm much younger than the average Approved Driving Instructor I have already achieved all my life goals in respect of family so I am very enthusiastic about this profession.  I get great satisfaction from teaching people to drive safely for life and see them pass their test in a country that has more traffic than ever before.  I only hope that I, with other instructors in the area, help reduce the accident statistics of new drivers in Ayrshire.

I am a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and registered with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).  All such Instructors should display a green certificate in their training vehicle.  A Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) will display a pink certificate and they are gaining experience for their final exam in the qualification process to become an ADI.  If you are recommended an instructor who is still at PDI stage, do not let this put you off, some PDIs are well worth their money.

I currently work full time for a company in East Kilbride so my main operating hours are weekday evenings and Sat and Sun.  This full time wage enables me to charge a competitive rate for lessons eliminating the need for me to overcharge in order to maintain a minimum level of income and more importantly, I'm not in the business of forcing sales.  When you contact me, you'll find a hassle free no obligation discussion will be the only response.

I like to kid myself on that I'm fit by playing 5-a-side football 2-3 times a week.
